Sierra Leone 71% Cacao Drink
About this Product
These cacao beans originate from the beautifully dense Gola Rainforest in Eastern Sierra Leone, where it is home to a huge range of biodiversity and over 100 communities that rely on the forest for their livelihoods. These beans are grown and harvested by Ngoleagorbu Cacao Farmers through a cooperative founded with the aims of sustaining the land and wildlife, whilst ensuring an economically viable business.
We carefully roast, crack and winnow these beans here at our kitchen in Bristol. After that, we stone grind the nibs with coconut sugar and cocoa butter before we temper and finally blend into hot chocolate powder. In the cup, we can taste flavour notes of chocolate mousse, biscuit, and almond.
Place 2-3 tablespoons of drinking chocolate in a mug, gradually stir in 200ml of hot milk, froth and enjoy!
