Sea Salt Caramel Truffles
About this Product
Cream – We get our Cornish cream from Trewithen Dairy, a family of Cornish dairy farmers who truly care about getting the best quality out of their happy and well-fed cows. The care and attention that Trewithen Dairy put into their dairy farming really makes a difference, and you can really taste that in the smooth richness of their phenomenal Cornish cream.
Salt – Harvested on the Cornish coast, everything Cornish Sea Salt’s incredible salt touches is enhanced by the unique mineral profile that makes it so unmistakable. By referencing century-old production techniques, they have made some really special salt with a distinctive mineral-rich zestiness.
Sugar – Grown in Brazil as part of Native’s Green Cane Project, where the sugar cane is cut down green rather than burnt (the traditional method of harvest). By forgoing the burning process they see a lower yield, but the sustainability benefits greatly outweigh any negatives. The project has reintroduced some 30 species back into their 12,500 hectares of farmland, and by harvesting green, they avoid destroying their habitat.
Chocolate – The indigenous Asháninka people maintain their independence by cultivating and harvesting Peruvian rainforest cacao, which they sell to support and protect their land and communities. Partnering with rainforest preservation charity Cool Earth to source direct from the growers, we are excited to be able to show off this exquisitely fruity cacao whilst contributing to a sustainable future for the Asháninka.
