Peruvian Lover’s Bundle

As you know, we spend our Summers in fields all across the UK, sharing magical moments and connections through our cacao. Just like our passion for cacao, we believe that coffee is about connection too – and not just with the people you serve it to, but with the people that grow it as well. So we picked this particular coffee to serve in our festival café – not only for its beautiful flavour notes, but for its amazing backstory too.

Originally founded in 2004, Café Femenino was created by a group of 464 female coffee producers in Peru to create a more equitable trading platform in the coffee growing industry. Now this collective can be found in nine countries, and it’s able to support thousands of women farmers across the world.

This particular coffee origin was grown by a collective of 800 women – and we’ve hand selected it to perfectly complement and accentuate the deep rich flavours that can be found in our cacao. These beans have a sweet fruitiness to them, with discernible notes of blackcurrant, chocolate, and almonds.

Coffee and cacao go hand in hand, and the parallels between coffee roasting and chocolate making are kind of uncanny, really; the care and dedication that goes into their growing and farming, the finesse that goes into roasting them. And when it comes to working with Wogan Coffee, our alignment in values is just as spot-on.
